At The Sandwich Company, we believe sustainability isn’t an afterthought – it’s part of how we operate every day. From sourcing and production to delivery and community impact, we’re committed to reducing waste, lowering emissions, and giving back where we can.
We prioritise local suppliers to cut down on transport emissions and support the communities we serve.

All food and packaging waste is sent off to be recycled. Inside our facilities, we’ve put systems in place to keep production efficient and wastage to a minimum. Surplus stock never goes to waste – it’s donated daily to charities across the West Midlands, including a weekly delivery to The Good Shepherd homeless charity.
Our drivers are trained to minimise shop-level wastage, and we use route optimisation to reduce fuel use and lower emissions.
We consistently upgrade our facilities, replacing equipment and lighting with energy-saving alternatives. Staff and drivers also receive training on reducing food and energy waste as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
